Our first practice will be 12/28 at 10AM at Granite Gorge. We hope to have coaches for classical as well as skate. Obviously, we will have no race tomorrow. Randy will not be around on Friday, so this may be it for the vacation week (unless someone wants to step up).

At this point, Granite Gorge will not be opening until Saturday, 12/17. Thus, no practice until 12/23 for most kids. We will make a decision about the following Wednesday advanced practice early next week.

Our first practice will be on 12/16 at 3:30. If you have not signed up, please do it then. Season pass:$35. NENSA membership: $20. Wednesday advanced skate class: $50. Our first Wednesday class is 12/21. A ski race with some Fall Mtn kids will be 12/28 at 10AM. We still have skis left over from the sale (mostly under 110 lbs). Please contact Randy if you need any.

Registration is set for 12/3 at Granite Gorge. Cost will be $20 for NENSA membership and $35 for a ski pass. We will also have a cross-country ski and snowshoe swap/ sale in the yurt at the same time. Drop off skis, 8-10 AM, sale 10-2 PM. Many new skis will be sold (inventory from Summer’s). The sale will benefit Fall Mountain, Keene and Bill Koch ski programs. The Toko sales rep will put on a wax clinic at 1PM.
Meghan Cornwall, a 4 year racer from Colby College, will coach skate technique on Wednesdays, 3:30-4:45 PM. Cost for this part of the program will be $50 per skier, with $15/additional family member.
Klaus, Ken, Randy and a bunch of Keene skiers have been working on clearing a new trail at Granite Gorge. With any luck, we’ll have more terrain to ski on this winter!

We will be putting together a dry land training program at the Keene YMCA for Fall 2 on Fridays starting at the end of Oct. We will have a fun games class for elementary students and a more serious weight/ exercise class for middle and high school students. Any parents willing to coach, please call me. More on that later. We are trying to plan a date for our ski sale/swap to benefit us, Keene and FMRHS xc ski teams. Probably this will be the Saturday after Thanksgiving or the Saturday after that. Bill Koch training will be on Fridays after school. I would like to pick another day for advanced skiers (skate and racing technique). Any volunteers?
